| Aims and objectives |
| 1. | To cultivate, promote, foster sponsor and develop the Indian community in Parsippany and neighboring counties in the state of New Jersey. |
| 2. | To organize and sponsor lectures, seminars, meetings, exhibitions, radio and television programs for the promotion of the Indian arts, music, languages, literature and religions. The Association shall not advocate or promote any particular religion or political philosophy. If there is an interest in forming a specific religious or political group, the Association's role shall be limited to bringing the interested members together. Such a group may then conduct on their own. |
| 3. | To develop and undertake programs leading to balanced growth in physical , social and psychological development of the member youth. |
| 4. | To receive and administer funds for scientific, educational and charitable
purpose within the meaning of Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code
of 1954, and specifically in this connection to improve the quality of the
human all over the world, generally and especially in the underdeveloped
countries by: (a) the encouragement and promotion of education through voluntary grants, by scholarships or otherwise, to individuals, institutions and organizations by the encouragement and promotion of scientific research through grants to individuals, institutions and organizations: (b) to assist the sick, indigent and needy families either by grants or by supplying the materials like food, clothing, medicines, farming equipment and tools, etc., either directly or through other recognized charitable organizations: (c) to help and assist the orphanages and child welfare group either by direct grants or by supplying material like educational equipment, teaching aids, books, magazines, sports equipment, etc. (d) to help and assist the communities and individuals who are victims of the natural disaster such as flood, fire, earthquake, epidemic diseases by providing needed materials and monetary grants directly or through recognized charitable organizations. |
| 5. | To organize seminars and lectures in order to promote understanding between Indian and American cultures and to promote goodwill. |
